Sure. Now the studies say there is no great benefit from eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. That it doesn't necessarily lower the risk of cancer.
Common sense would say obviously we cannot follow eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables and forget about the rest of the things that contribute to good health. Such as meat in moderation, no smoking, alcohol, exercerising, etc. Our genes have a lot to do with many of these things too and how our parents, grandparents and generations before lived as well. Somewhere along the way if the DNA has degenerated, then it would affect generations after.
