Idlis, a healthy steamed rice cake

This week’s recipe of the week is Idli. Idlis originated in southern India. But, it is more of a northern Indian favorite. It is healthy because of the two simple natural ingredients it contains and also because of the way it is made.

Rice and Lentils are soaked, ground, fermented for just a day and steam cooked the following day.
