I recently read that fast-food low calorie choices are actually helping people lose weight. Now, come on. Could this be a gimmick? Losing weight with fast food? Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken are both claiming that.
I cannot truly believe it until there is more evidence. I am sure there will be more research, articles, books of course, we’ve got to have books on everything. Our economy thrives on these book sales. I may be the only one without a book out.

Should we believe this?

Tropical fruits craving of mine…
Even after all these years of living in North America, there are some food cravings I just can’t get over. For instance, tropical fruits that I grew up with that were in abundance, and some of them actually grew in my backyard.
For eg. Ripe sweet mangoes, guavas, pomegranates, Sapodilla (chikoo in Hindi and sapotta in Tamil), a variety of bananas that I just can’t find anywhere in the U.S. On my next visit, I will definitely go looking for these fruits. I am not even sure if I can find them in my home town of Madras, India anymore. My friends and family tell me it is due to global warming, that some of these fruits are hard to grow as the climate is just not conducive. It is just sad that we are depleting the natural resources so much. We can’t even hang on to the good things that nature once gave plenty of to us mankind.
